I started this book blindly. I did not read any reviews. The story line was obviously up my alley Shifters. Dragon shifters? Bring it on. This book surprised me. I was a little surprised at the beginning being set in a carnival type setting. But as it went along, and the action never stopped, I was really hooked. There were moments that time skipped, and you wondered what was going on. I had to go back a couple times because I thought I missed something. But no, it's the suspense of what happene [...]

Contemporary, Paranormal, RomanceKyra figures that saving Marcus’s life should count as a good deed though that isn’t what motivated her to do it. Something supernatural pulled her to do it. When Marcus sees Kyra’s hybrid dragon she finds herself bound to protect him. What makes things worse is that a bond between Kyra and her best friend, Sebastian is causing tension between them. Kyra is determined to defy Death even if that cost is her own life. Sebastian’s life is built around his ta [...]

I enjoyed the majority of this book, and I loved that the story is unique. In this book, Kyra is a dragon of sorts, but she is a hybrid, so she has trouble fitting in, so she has left home, and ends up being part of a magical carnival. I loved the whole magical carnival premise! It's lots of fun! And I love that Kyra is a dragonshifter! So cool! I do like Kyra, but she did get on my nerves when she wouldn't follow her heart or trust her misgivings about people or things. Everyone in this book is [...]

In the first book Moorigad Dragon we meet Kyra and Sebastian. They worked at Mystic Carnival, a carnival that never sleeps. Kyra one saves a young man from drowning that right there was the being of her mistakes because he was marked for death. Now death is after his retribution. Around every corner is an obstacle in her way to keep this man safe, she’s a dragon so it would be easy for her right. Not when you have to keep a helpless human safe from death. It’s a wild and crazy ride that she [...]

Book Review: NOTE: THANK YOU MS. DEBRA FOR SENDING ME THE REVIEW COPY I DECIDED TO REVIEW THE BOOK INDIVIDUALLY. A four star book review is never a bad book… really. it just seems to have some factors lacking in it and also this book has a series and I’m looking forward to what happens in the next two books. so before I tell you why I gave the book a four star rating I’ll talk about what happens in the begging of the book. You’ll be acquainted with the Main character, Kyra and she’s at [...]

The Moorigad DragonAn enjoyable paranormal story that’s full of twists and turns. I really liked the story but I felt like there was stuff missing. I would’ve loved to see more depth between the characters and their relationship. Also the story itself at times I felt like it just kind of jumped and I found myself going back to see if I missed something. Other then that I really enjoyed the story and can’t wait to see what happens next.

    • Anie says:

It is a story of a girl, that can change into dragon. She is a mixed species dragon, mother is water dragon and father fire dragon. She runs away from home and ends of in magical carnival.I really like the world, that the story takes place in and the whole premise of the story. The page of stuff happening is also great, there is no dull moment.Only thing I had problems with, was the writing at times. It was so descriptive at times, I forgot what was even going on in the story, a bit to distracti [...]

Mystic’s Carnival is a bit of a magical place where misfits come together to create a carnie family. Is it alive or does magic just flow through it. For only those who are lucky will the carnival appear. It chooses you not the other way around. It also chooses the place it stays as well; you can never tell where it will be. Portals exist to those who live there and if you are lucky to enter be ready for some make believe.Kyra is a hybrid sea dragon born of two worlds and not feeling like she b [...]

I usually try to finish any book that I start, I really wanted to like this one, I have tried to read it 3 or 4 times and made it 29% through before I gave up. It's just doesn't hold my interest.

I read this book in one day. LOL! It's really good and a hard to put down read. The Moorigad Dragoon (Age of the Hybrid #1) is a book about Kyra who is a Moorigad, a mix of a water dragon and fire dragon but not really either. She lives and works at a carnival with her friend Sebastian who she has feelings for but never really admits it to herself. She is with him one evening when something strange happens. I give this urban fantasy-like story 3.8 out of five stars. The writing here is fantastic. The author knows how to turn a phrase and offer up vivid details. The characters were unique and eclectic. I liked the magical aspect of the carnival. Much was left unexplained but not in a way that irritated me. Rather it kept me reading to discover more information. The Moorigad Dragon is half water dragon and half fire dragon, but she stays in her human form most of the time. It was interesting to learn ab [...]

3 1/2 starsI received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book was so utterly confusing. It drops you in the middle of a magical carnival that seems to be on another plane of existence, but intersects ours at strange times, like when a terminally ill girl is in a medically induced coma. The two main characters are very confusing. There's Kyra who is half fire dragon, half water dragon, with a preferred human looking state of being. This makes her into something not quite fi [...]

Mama’s Thoughts on the Mystic Carnival novellas:Wow, what a whirlwind of words! These short books pack quite the mouthy punch, filling your senses and taking you on a wild ride through a supernaturally touched world of wonders. In each installment we meet a variety of interesting characters, but in the two dragon books we focus on Kyra, a wickedly funny, strong heroine caught up in a fight she didn’t know she picked, with entities she didn’t know existed. I enjoyed the descriptive journey [...]

Debra Kristi welcomed us in a world of supernatural creatures where performing into a carnival. THE MYSTIC'S CARNIVAL. The story centered to Kyra; a Moorigad dragon (half fire and water dragon)The story runs of love story of Kyra, Torn between 2 handsome men; Sebastian, a tarot reader (well im not going to tell you what he is is a SURPRISE) and Marcus, the mystery guyI honestly love the story but i think there's more, it has potential, if Kristi just put some MORE supernatural creatures. I love [...]

At first I was a little bit confused, but once everything was explained I was hooked to the story. Kyra is really amazing; Sebastian, on the other hand, has this "dark and mysterious" vibe that makes him amazing as well. I love how very well the author created the world, the details and descriptions were definitely on point! Debra makes you feel like you're actually right there with the characters. Kyra saves a man, to whom for a weird reason she feels completely attracted to. The problem? In do [...]

    • Teri says:

Well this book is so not what I expected but a fast paced exciting read. Kyra is an interesting mix of species thanks to her mom and pop. The setting is a supernatural carnival with an interesting blend of people and various reasons why each one is there. Now her attractions are divided between her "Pal" Sebastian and Marcus the "Human" she rescued again and again. Marcus is only human right?? And what could possible go wrong. . . re than anyone ever saw coming. Come and check out the carnival, [...]

I love the concept. That being said I did enjoy most of the book but towards the end of the middle it jumped around a bit and sort of ruined the flow. There is however an interesting twist at the end, that I feel I should have seen coming but didn't. Overall decent book good concept. I am leery of starting the next book for fear of it jumping around more but gonna read it anyways. I'm hoping for the best!

    • InD'tale Magazine says:

3.5/5.0Go into the story knowing that the carnival itself is a shape shifting, pseudo-living entity all on its own will help one acclimate to this multi-author setting. Read full review in the 2015 April issue of InD'tale Magazine.

    • Thomas Maher says:

It was okIt felt more of a human to human type story then female dragon to male human story relationship. Why was she not always in her dragon form? Only got to see it like once or few very short times. Reason for it not being lower score is I got it for $0.99 book 1 and 2 for that price each so I am hoping book 2 will be better. I hated what happened at the end just pure evil.

    • Holly says:

This was an interesting read for sure. I couldn't have imagined the adventures I went on with Kyra and Sebastian. I can't say more because I don't like to give out spoilers. However, the twist at the end will leave you wanting more.
