This review is also on my blogI received this book to review from the publisher in exchange for an honest reviewIn a nutshell: The Other Side of Nowhere is an action-packed adventure story of a group of teenagers' camping trip gone awry. Think 'Famous Five' all grown up and dealing with less than ideal family lives, friendships and world problems. Without giving too much away, this story would appeal to boys for the action, survival and adventure, the relationships and the chance to make a difference. Some of the events were a little too 'neat', but overall a rollicking read for those who like some reasonably realistic action.

A quick, easy read with lots of action. Four teenagers get shipwrecked on an island and have to face some hostile obstacles in order to survive. Probably a bit far fetched in some places, but it flows at a reasonable pace.

Inky shortlist. Australian, yacht, island marooned, group of teenage friends, angst, brothers, people smugglers. Lots of action might be good for boys but I found the ship wreck, gun toting baddies a little over the top- still a good read just not my fav .
