Sometimes 2nd reads can make a book that was okay into an enjoyable escape! Gabe and Faith have quite the journey to reach their HEA, full of trials and struggles. While Faith isn't my favorite heroine (there wasn't anything "wrong" with her -- I just didn't fully connect to her like I usually like to), I adored Gabe. While I do wish they had a bit more time together in the story, overall it's a heartwarming tale with a beautiful ending.

Absolutely fantastic book! Fell in love w/Rosanne Bittner and her tale of Faith and Gabe. I wanted a little something different for my reading pleasure and this book ticked off everything on my list - excitement, drama, love, romance, war and the connection between two souls that is so deep nothing can tear it apart. I will definitely be reading more of Bittner's work! Thanks!

Remembering olden timesLong story! Enjoyed the story. You have a vivid imagination, as do most people. My great grandfather was half Indian and lived in troubled times. Your description of the character Tall bear, fit my great grandfather to a tee!! I will recommend this reading S it hits home from stories told to me by my great grandmother and grandmother. Their tales were not fiction though. Thank you

This book has to be one of my favorite books off of all the books (Native American) I've read of hers. The book is well written and it has great storyline with a beautiful ending.

dnf'd. I simply couldn't get into the book. I may well try again, but somehow there was too much unnecessary backstory for me to feel any connection to the characters.
