This book was my introduction to Scott Nicholson and I thought it was well done, I will certainly check out more of his books going forward. Of the four novellas I liked "The Home" best, a great tale of troubled teens in a group home where things are not what they seem. I really liked the dual horror aspects: on one hand you have ghosts and on the other you have a diabolical government conducting bizarre medical experiments, both pretty scary! The zombie tale "After the Shock" was good too, I'm [...]

This was a box of four decent sized books and they were all decent stories. They all had good characters that I really liked, some ore than others. But that is how a good book should be.The first was called Home. This centers arwelld a group of teenagers that were living in a group home . They were being experimenting on ad this ended up causing a lot of problems. There was a very weird vibe and lots and lots of ghosts, and when a freaky and insane parent turns up things go to Hell. The second Me [...]

I actually started this boxed set last week and forgot to update my page. That right there should tell you how involved I was with these amazing books by Scott Nicholson. I am extremely impressed with how inexpensive this set is considering how rich it is with quality (see what I did there?)! I couldn't even begin to choose a favorite from the bunch (that would be about as easy as picking my favorite kid)! ;-) I really don't like to leave a whole lot of details or spoilers in the reviews I writ [...]

The Home - Got to the part where the boys are kicking the book around and quit. Just not matching my interest. Lots of good reviews so I wish I had nice articulation skills to explain what caused my disinterest. Some of it is that I didn't like the internal dialogue of the main character or the caretaker. The MC kept telling us why he was doing stuff. "I'm going to use my cool guy, don't give a shit attitude here" "I'm going to pretend I'm reading this book so I can gauge these guys without them [...]

The HomeHoly Moley, Give me the WILLIES!!! When young Freeman went to live at a new group home, he never in his dreams thought that events would unfold the way they did, from electroshock therapy to ghosts, to his past coming backbut hey it's life, no one gets through it alive, right? This book was awesome, and scared the crap out of me. Meat CampWOW it gave me nightmares like only 1 other book ever has. This book creeped me out from the beginning. A "bad boy's" camp meets The Walking Dead. And [...]

"Box of Boo" is a collection of 4 full-length novels, "The Home", "Meat Camp", "Spider Web" and "After the Shock".I enjoyed the first two books, seriously creepy and gory.I struggled with book 3 as it was part of a vampire series which I haven't read and book 4 didn't hold my interest at all. 2 out of 4 ain't bad though.
